About Us - Community

Supporting the community that supports us

Just as we believe in sustainable engineering and energy solutions, we believe in taking a balanced and proactive approach to life, work, business and the community.

Through corporate sponsorships, involvement in community organisations, supporting special events and personal contributions of our individual employees, Keppel Prince Engineering is serious about supporting the community in which we live and work.

Future Leaders in Industry Program:
We volunteered a mentor for this valuable program designed to nurture our future leaders.  Local students are guided through a series of workshops over six weeks covering marketing, produce selling, teamwork and community leadership

United Way raises over $20,000:
United Way Glenelg is united by the simple idea that people in a community can come together, pool resources, and work collectively to deal with compelling issues in a way that is more powerful than any one individual.  United Way receives its funds from two different sources, workplace giving and business donations.  A contribution to United Way helps over 40 different health and human care services, is tax deductible and is the easiest way to assist your community.

In 2009 United Way Glenelg looks forward to celebrating 10 years of making a difference to this community.  United Way has funded over 40 different health and human care agencies within the Glenelg region from Casterton, Dartmoor, Heywood through to Portland.

In 2007 Keppel Prince and two of its employees, participated in the Loaned Executive Program to make a big push to increase the number of employees who participate in the workplace giving program.  The program proved to be so successful that an extra $20,000 is donated to United Way Glenelg every year.

Keppel Prince is also a major sponsor of the administration costs which are raised separately.

Relay for Life:
For many years we have been supporting and raising money for Relay for Life, a team event dedicated to raising funds for cancer research.

KPE came second in the 2009 event with our staff donating and fundraising over $11,000.  KPE also won the 2008 event with donations and fundraising of over $20,000 for the cause.
